Our Story

From one launch in the Alps to twelve sites worldwide

AERIS began in 2011 when three competition pilots pooled their savings, bought two tandem wings, and started flying passengers from a borrowed meadow above Chamonix.

Fifteen years later we operate from twelve launch sites across Europe, Asia and South America. What hasn't changed is the ritual: read the sky, brief the plan, and never let a booking calendar outvote the weather. Every instructor flies competitively or trains toward it — because teaching stays sharp only when flying does.

  • APPI & BHPA certified school since 2013
  • 5,200+ incident-free commercial flights
  • Every wing logged, inspected daily, retired early
  • Free rescheduling whenever conditions say wait

Our Values

What we stand for

Safety is the product

Weather-driven go/no-go calls, daily gear inspections and pilots trained in first aid and mountain rescue. Everything else is decoration.

Progression over volume

Four students per instructor, never more. We'd rather fly fewer people better — and our review scores suggest passengers agree.

Leave only lift

We fund trail maintenance at every launch site we fly, run car-share shuttles to reduce traffic, and pack out everything we pack in.
