The practical stuff
None at all. A certified tandem pilot flies the wing — you just run a few steps at launch and enjoy the view. Most flights last 20 to 40 minutes, and you can add a photo & film package when you book.
You choose: a free reschedule to the next flyable window, or a full refund. Roughly one day in nine is called off — the decision is always made by the duty pilot against the sky, never by the booking calendar.
Sturdy shoes, long trousers and a windproof layer — it is cooler at altitude even in midsummer. We provide the helmet, harness and all flight equipment. Sunglasses are a good idea; leave loose items at the base.
Tandem passengers typically range from 30 kg to 110 kg. Children from 6 years can fly with a parent or guardian's consent. Outside the range? Contact us — larger tandem wings are available at some sites.

Learning & renting
Our five-day beginner course takes you from ground-handling to your first supervised solo flights. Full APPI certification usually follows within a season of regular flying — and our community meets make that part easy.
No — rental requires proof of rating (APPI, BHPA or equivalent) plus a short skills check with our duty pilot. Students don't need to rent: school equipment is included in every course.
Yes — tandem vouchers are valid for 18 months at any AERIS site and can be transferred once, free of charge. They arrive as a printable PDF within a day of ordering.
Statistically it sits between hiking and skiing. Our record comes from process, not luck: daily-inspected wings, weather-driven go/no-go calls, small groups, and pilots trained in first aid and mountain rescue.
